This home is affectionately known as “House 4.”  It is the fourth in the NextGen line of energy-efficient passive solar prototypes for deed-restricted affordable housing.  Though it’s a small home, it lives large, with a two-story Great Room and 3 bedrooms / 2 baths.  It is built in the sustainably designed neighborhood of Blue Creek Ranch, and is one of seven homes integrated into a Building America / Energy Outreach Colorado research project, creating new energy efficient home prototypes.
