Powell graduated from Boston Architectural College in 1991 with a degree in architecture after receiving a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering and a master’s degree in environmental engineering from Cornell University. Powell recently designed multiple, large-scale residential projects for several developments in Summit County before moving back to the valley. Powell currently lives in Carbondale where he just bought a “fixer” home that he’s restoring himself — one of his favorite hobbies.
